Tammy Shaklee knows the search from the inside. Before she became one of the country's leading LGBTQ relationship experts, she was looking for the right partner herself, and she found him through a matchmaker. That experience is the reason H4M exists.
In 2012, Tammy founded H4M Matchmaking in Austin, Texas: a national, offline matchmaking company built on real, traditional introductions rather than apps or algorithms. Today she's its president, and H4M is one of the country's top LGBTQ matchmaking companies. Over the years, she and her team have personally paired thousands of LGBTQ clients across the country who were ready for something lasting. Many of them are successful in every part of their lives except this one, and that's exactly where she comes in.
Her instincts were shaped by an earlier career as a broadcast journalist: listening closely, reading between the lines, and staying objective long enough to understand who someone really is. Paired with the same-sex matchmaking methodology she developed and perfected specifically for H4M clients, it's what lets her find the kind of true compatibility that leads to a relationship as fulfilling as the career you've built.
As an LGBTQ ally and advocate, Tammy doesn't just understand the challenges of finding a partner. She's lived them. She and her husband make their home in Daytona Beach, FL, where she runs the national practice. And when she isn't bringing two people together, she's a regular relationship voice for LGBTQ outlets and mainstream publications alike.
